Saturday, July 12, 2003 don't you hate it when you've started typing out a really long post and then you accidently close a window? *sigh* anyways. post ran something like this: if i could have more of anything in the world right now, it'd be time and money. time because there's so many things i want to do in boston next year, both academically and not, and 1) i'll never really be able to do it all and 2) i'm going to run the risk of overdoing it, blinded by my enthusiasm. i've been waiting to leave high school since freshman year, and i've been waiting to experience the cultural mecca that is boston since i've started thinking about where to apply to college. considering a lot of my favorite bands were either boston-based at one point or had a major following there before the rest of the US followed (guster, john mayer, bnl), i practically drool when i think about the music scene. time because i don't know if this is going to be the last time i see my grandmother. money because there's a lot of concerts i'd like to be able to see but i know i'm not going to after the vacationing/college shopping in my jobless state. money because it really can buy you everything, including, in a way, more time with certain people. anyway, i'm not really complaining, and i'm not really a proponent of kids growing up rich, because i think you develop more character, self-restraint, and selflessness when you have enough but sometimes have to do with less than what you wish had... but it's just wishful thinking i guess. btw, i changed my mind and i want to go to the Boston Sept. 12 guster concert again. Tickets go on sale today @ 10am, let me know if you're interested. --posted by M @ 12:04 AM | 0 comments 0 Comments: |
