Sunday, February 22, 2004 i've been running away too long from everything. so when life decided to throw me its next curve ball, instead of ducking, i hit it. hard. without a regret. results were mixed; not quite a home run, but something i'm glad i did. maybe next time i'll duck, and maybe the time after that i'll take a good swing at it again... sometimes i'll miss, but that's ok. because i've proved to myself that i can do it, and besides, what's life without the occasional trip to the emergency room, after being nicely bruised up? julian coryell is amazing. moreso live than you could ever imagine, and this is without any band behind him. last night, as i listened, i closed my eyes and opened them again and took everything in... the surrealness of the blue light and the perfect note and perfect voice over the perfect chord... and at that moment, there was nowhere else in the world that i would rather have been. life is interesting. people are interesting. i think once the weather gets nice i'm going to hit the esplanade and just people watch, making up a story for each one that passes me by. and when i get bored with that, there's always the clouds to keep me entertained. --posted by M @ 1:42 PM | 0 comments 0 Comments: |
